    Position Summary

    The Catering Manager oversees catering services to ensure client satisfaction and operational excellence. Responsibilities include managing event logistics, supervising staff, maintaining safety standards, and driving efficiency across food production, inventory, and procurement.

    Key Duties

    • Event Oversight — Direct daily catering operations, including food production, deliveries, and inventory.

    • Client Collaboration — Work with university departments and customers to design and execute events.

    • Team Leadership — Supervise and train staff, delegate tasks, and monitor performance.

    • Safety Compliance — Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all regulatory standards.

    • Budget Management — Control labor and material costs, making adjustments as needed.



    Requirements

    What You Bring

    • Previous experience facilitating communication between sales, culinary, and front‑of‑house teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of all orders, including last‑minute needs, efficiently and collaboratively.

    • Ability to adhere to timekeeping and labor cost control procedures, maintaining staff payroll and schedules in Kronos.

    • Strong attention to detail when reviewing catering event orders and weekly catering sheets for accuracy.

    • Positive, practical solutions to client queries while following catering policies and procedures and supporting staff effectively.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

    • Minimum 3 years of management experience

    • Minimum 3 years in catering, food production, or hospitality operations

    • Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills

    • Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines effectively
