    Description

We are seeking a strategic, fast-paced Category Manager for Print Production to oversee our global print and physical branding footprint. In this role, you will lead the print production strategy for large-scale marketing print, special event and interior site signage. Additionally, you will manage the procurement of structural outer packing, crating, and logistics-related print required to move these physical assets safely around the world. You will drive cost efficiencies, lead high-stakes vendor negotiations, and ensure that our brand assets are produced and transported to the highest standards.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Category Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy for interior signage, large-format event prints, graphics, and specialized transit packing materials. Procurement of raw materials for print production will also be required.
    • Supplier & Vendor Management: Identify, qualify, and onboard a robust network of commercial printers, and signage fabricators. Conduct regular performance evaluations and audits to guarantee strict adherence to SLA timelines.
    • Logistics & Outer Packing Sourcing: Procure outer packing solutions, industrial crating, protective inserts, and heavy-duty shipping materials to safeguard high-value signage and displays during global transit.
    • Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) processes for multi-market rollouts. Negotiate highly competitive pricing, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and freight/logistics integration clauses.
    • Financial & Spend Analysis: Analyze print and distribution spend data, tracking market trends in substrate costs (e.g., acrylics, metals, paperboards) to identify cost-saving opportunities and scale internal print models.
    • Technical Asset Coordination: Partner closely with internal Brand, Creative, Workplace Health and Safety, Events, and Workplace teams to evaluate physical specs (color profiles, materials, structural durability, load-bearing packing layouts) for flawless execution.
    • Risk & Sustainability: Mitigate tech-hardware delivery or event delays by diversifying regional vendor hubs. Champion corporate sustainability targets.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
