Overview

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing & Contracts Specialist to support sourcing and contracting activities for large-scale energy and battery storage initiatives. This role combines strategic sourcing, category management, and contract negotiation responsibilities, requiring a professional who can independently manage sourcing events and complex supplier agreements from strategy through execution.

Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing

• Lead end-to-end sourcing events, including:
  • Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
  • Requests for Information (RFIs)
  • Requests for Quotations (RFQs)
• Develop sourcing strategies aligned with category and business objectives.
• Conduct supplier evaluations, commercial assessments, bid analysis, and award recommendations.
• Apply structured sourcing methodologies, including seven-step sourcing processes.
• Manage sourcing activities from planning through supplier selection and contract execution.

Contract Management & Negotiation

• Negotiate and manage:
  • Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
  • Project-specific contracts
  • Supplier agreements
  • Commercial terms and conditions
• Review contract language and coordinate contract execution activities.
• Manage multiple agreements simultaneously across various stages of negotiation and implementation.
• Ensure contracts align with business objectives, risk requirements, and category strategies.

Category Management

• Support category planning and supplier strategy development.
• Analyze:
  • Pricing structures
  • Lead times
  • Commercial terms
  • Supplier capabilities
  • Market conditions
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization, risk reduction, and supplier performance improvements.
• Support procurement activities for both equipment and service-based categories.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with internal business leaders, project teams, legal, engineering, operations, and finance stakeholders.
• Provide sourcing and contracting expertise throughout project lifecycles.
• Communicate sourcing recommendations, negotiation strategies, and supplier considerations to leadership.
• Build strong supplier and stakeholder relationships across multiple workstreams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong experience in:

• Proven experience negotiating and managing complex contracts.
• Hands-on experience leading RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs from initiation through award.
