Food Service Crew – Cataloochee Ski Area

This isn’t your average food job—it’s high energy, high volume, and right in the heart of a legendary North Carolina ski area!
OVERVIEW:The food service worker is responsible for the day-to-day preparation, cooking, packaging, and serving of food in Cataloochee’s "Cat Kafe".  A food service worker will be expected to deal directly with the public on a daily basis.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serving up hot food and great vibes to hungry skiers & snowboarders
  • Working the register and keeping lines moving fast
  • Keeping kitchens, counters, and dining areas clean and stocked
  • Jumping in wherever needed—because teamwork makes the mountain run
  • Delivering friendly, upbeat service all day long
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • BIG energy and a positive attitude
  • Ability to keep up in a fast-moving environment
  • Dependable, punctual, and ready to hustle
  • Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 30 lbs
  • Experience is great—but we’ll train you if you bring the right attitude
THE DETAILS
  • Seasonal winter positions
  • Full-time & part-time schedules available
  • Must be available weekends, holidays, and peak ski days

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Must be able and willing to work a varied schedule (weekends, holidays, and nights) 
  • Must be willing to report to work at the scheduled time
  • Must be willing to report to work as scheduled despite inclement weather
  • Must be able to move throughout the resort comfortably and quickly, physically
  • Must be able to stand for a long period of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
