Job Summary: The Catalog & Print Production Manager is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of School Specialty's catalog and print marketing programs. This role manages the end-to-end workflow for seasonal catalogs and print initiatives, partnering with internal teams and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered accurately and on schedule.

As a key member of the Marketing Operations team, this position coordinates complex, cross-functional projects involving Marketing, Merchandising, Creative Services, Product Management, Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and third-party suppliers. Success in this role requires strong project management skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to drive results through collaboration and influence.

Work Location:

  • This is a work-from-home role. Qualified applicants must reside in the United States.

Compensation Information:

  • Annual salary range of $75,000.00-$90,000.00 with a defined annual incentive plan.

What you'll do:

  • Catalog Program Management
  • Lead the planning and execution of seasonal catalog production schedules.
  • Partner with print suppliers and internal stakeholders to establish timelines, milestones, and production deadlines.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple departments to ensure catalog content, approvals, and files are delivered according to schedule.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and drive issue resolution to keep projects on track.
  • Facilitate project meetings and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
  • Support catalog fulfillment, inventory coordination, and distribution activities.
  • Print Production & Vendor Management
  • Manage production of catalogs, brochures, flyers, direct mail, signage, trade show materials, and other printed marketing assets.
  • Coordinate with print, mailing, and fulfillment partners to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
  • Develop production specifications and manufacturing instructions.
  • Review proofs and production materials to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
  • Build strong vendor relationships and serve as the primary point of contact throughout production.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with stakeholders across multiple business functions to align priorities and meet project objectives.
  • Lead project discussions, coordinate deliverables, and facilitate issue resolution.
  • Influence outcomes and drive accountability without direct supervisory responsibility.
  • Serve as a trusted subject matter expert for catalog and print production initiatives.

What we expect you to bring to the table:

  • Experience working with print, direct mail, or fulfillment vendors.
  • Experience coordinating large-scale catalog or publication projects.
  • Knowledge of print production and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with project management systems such as Workfront.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, print production, marketing operations, catalog production, or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education and/or Certifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Travel Requirements:

  • Minimal, less than 5%
