CAT Intern - April 2027 - October 2027

What You'll Do: As an Intern on our CAT Team, you will:

• Assist Inside CAT Team task management
• Monitor and report on key metrics, including claim rep inventory, inbound and outbound calls, and email counts
• Assist with email monitoring and claim reassignment
• Upload prior claims and endorsements in our company system
• Delegate I/A reviews
• Other projects as assigned

We are looking for two (2) interns to join our team this summer! As an intern, you will also participate in corporate activities designed to provide exposure to our industry, organization, and culture. Our internship program follows an 80/10/10 approach:

• 80% of your time will be spent performing meaningful work and project-based assignments within your department.
  
• 10% of your time will be dedicated to learning from and networking with employees in other areas of the organization.
  
• 10% of your time will be spent participating in shared internship experiences that provide insight into our culture, leadership, and business operations.
  

What It Takes to Join Our Team:

• Be a current full-time college student enrolled in classes. Completion of one year of college is highly preferred.
• Must be able to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Exceptional customer service skills - including strong verbal and written communication skills. The ability to establish rapport with all kinds of personalities quickly while communicating effectively over the phone is essential.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, while paying attention to detail.
• Must be able to exercise independent judgment and arrive at decisions through sound, logical reason.
• Possess the ability to learn quickly and follow instructions.
• Must be able to spend much of the day on the telephone during high-volume storm claims events.
• Ability to work in-person from our Home Office located in West Des Moines, IA.
