About the Job

Dentists provide general and emergency pediatric and adult dentistry care to the Faculty Dental Clinic's diverse patients. Services include a broad range of diagnostic, and restorative procedures to dental patients. Each dentist is expected to provide exams, training, and/or oversight to a hygienist and a dental assistant(s).

This is a 100% on-site/in-person position at the Faculty Dental Clinic. A general work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00 pm. (up to 14 hours/week) The salary range is between $71-100/hr based on qualifications.

This position is anticipated to work through the Fall semester. This position could be extended based on business needs.

Responsibilities:

Provide Clinical Dentistry (100%)

  • Provide comprehensive dental care to patients in a dental healthcare setting, including clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and preventive dental care.
  • Develop, discuss and document treatment plans for patients. Provides alternative treatments options.
  • Work in a team and provide exams and oversight to the work of dental hygienists.
  • Work out of multiple dental chairs to optimize productivity.
  • Maintain accurate and timely notes in the electronic health record.
  • Provide dental education to patients.
  • Stay current with developments in the field through continuing education.
  • Adhere to business practices of the organization.
  • Cooperate with provider enrollment/credentialing staff to keep enrollment with payers current.
  • Use electronic clinical documentation and billing software, including participation in training for upgrades to software.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • D.D.S. required. Licensed to practice in Minnesota or eligible for licensure and maintain licensure as DDS in Minnesota.
  • Clinical experience required.
  • Current CPR certification.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $71 - $100/hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
