Abby's Bagels & Coffee Lower Greenville, Dallas is opening a new store and looking for people who love great food, fast-paced work, and taking care of others. We make bagels from scratch, serve coffee all day. We are a neighborhood spot that always feels welcoming.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests, answer basic menu questions, and provide prompt, hospitable service

• Accurately enter dine-in, takeout, phone, online, and delivery orders into the point-of-sale system

• Process cash, credit-card, digital-wallet, gift-card, and other approved payments accurately

• Suggest bagels, spreads, sandwiches, coffee, beverages, pastries, and add-ons when appropriate

• Package food, beverages, catering pickups, and online orders neatly; confirm order accuracy before handoff

• Communicate clearly with the kitchen and bakery teams about special requests, modifications, allergies, and order issues

• Keep the register, counter, beverage station, dining room, condiment area, and pickup area clean, stocked, and guest-ready

• Restock front-of-house supplies, including bags, cups, lids, napkins, utensils, coffee supplies, merchandise, and grab-and-go products

• Help maintain attractive displays of bagels, baked goods, beverages, and retail items

• Handle customer concerns professionally and involve a manager when needed

• Follow cash-handling procedures, including drawer counts, shift handoffs, refunds, discounts, and closing procedures

• Assist with light food preparation, dishwashing, cleaning, opening, and closing duties as assigned

• Follow all food-safety, sanitation, allergen, uniform, and company-service standards

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cashier, barista, server, restaurant host, retail associate, or customer-service team member is preferred, but not required

• Comfortable learning and using a point-of-sale system; Toast experience is a plus

• Friendly, confident communication skills and a genuine hospitality mindset

• Strong attention to order accuracy, cleanliness, and handling payments correctly

• Ability to multitask and stay calm, organized, and upbeat during busy breakfast and lunch rushes

• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and willingness to support the full team

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or carry up to 25 pounds

• Availability for morning, weekend, holiday, and flexible shifts

• Food Handler certification, or willingness to obtain one, preferred

Schedule and Compensation

This position may be full-time or part-time. Shifts may include early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Pay is competitive and based on experience.
