Blazin Chicken & Gyro in Jersey City, NJ is looking for an energetic and friendly Cashier to join our fast-paced restaurant team! Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and take food and beverage orders accurately at the counter or drive-thru
- Process cash, credit, and digital payments efficiently using a POS system
- Communicate orders clearly to kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house and cashier station
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner
- Assist with restocking supplies, condiments, and packaging materials as needed
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and restaurant policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Previous cashier, customer service, or restaurant experience preferred but not required
- Basic math skills and comfort handling cash and making change
- Strong communication skills and a positive, customer-first attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
