As a Cashier, you’ll help create a welcoming and efficient shopping experience for every customer.
You’ll assist with transactions, answer customer questions, maintain a clean checkout area, and help ensure every customer leaves satisfied.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Greet customers entering and leaving the store with a friendly attitude
• Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone
• Help customers with questions and direct them to products or departments

Checkout & Transactions

• Process transactions accurately using cash, credit/debit cards, and charge accounts
• Issue receipts, refunds, and charge tickets
• Accurately count and return change
• Verify checks and monitor for counterfeit cash

Store Support

• Maintain clean and organized checkout and front-end areas
• Support store appearance and operational efficiency
• Report security or loss prevention concerns to management

Sales Support

• Ask open-ended questions to better understand customer needs
• Promote a positive shopping experience that supports customer satisfaction

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for dependable, positive individuals who enjoy helping customers and working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Required Qualifications

• Experience as a retail cashier or similar customer service role
• Basic PC and POS system knowledge
• Good math and cash-handling skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Customer satisfaction-focused mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Paladin POS systems
• Basic knowledge of yard products or hardscape materials

Physical Requirements

• Standing for most of the shift
• Some lifting required
