Customer Service Excellence
- Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, outgoing shopping experience.
- Project a positive image of Ace Hardware and assist customers with product knowledge and store layout.
- Answer calls and pages promptly and courteously.
- Communicate effectively with management about any issues or customer needs.
- Help with pricing, stocking, marking, and bagging merchandise.
Efficient Register Operations
- Handle sales and returns accurately following all register procedures.
- Balance the cash register drawer at the end of shifts.
- Implement store promotions and participate in team meetings.
Front End Appearance and Upkeep
- Maintain a neat and clean checkout area and entrance.
- Stock and face impulse counters and fresh merchandise seasonally.
- Ensure ads, forms, and supplies are well stocked.
- Assist with front-end decorating and cart pickups.
- Notify management when merchandise returns need attention.
Additional Requirements and Benefits
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Preferred experience in cashiering or customer service.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 40 lbs, and climb ladders during shifts.
- Availability to work weekends, evening (no later than 8 pm) and holidays.
