Description
The Cashier at Mother’s Market provides exceptional customer service while accurately and efficiently processing customer transactions. Cashiers are ambassadors of Mother’s Market’s mission, creating a welcoming, friendly, and health-conscious shopping experience for every guest.
Wage Range: $17-$20/hour

Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive service
- Accurately process purchases, returns, and exchanges using the POS system
- Handle cash, credit, debit, and other forms of payment responsibly
- Answer customer questions regarding products, promotions, and store policies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area
- Support bagging and assisting customers as needed
- Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and food-handling standards
- Promote Mother’s Market values, including wellness, sustainability, and community
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth store operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Physical Requirements
- Standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motions throughout the shift
- Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 50 lbs
- Exposure to cold temperatures (refrigeration areas)
