St. Clair County Treasurer Cashier

Salary $36,000 - $39,000

Job Type

Full-time (non-union position)

Responsibilities for the Cashier

• Greet visitors in person and over the phone in a professional manner
• Initiate daily cash and check deposits
• Cashiering to collect real estate and mobile home taxes
• Maintain daily bank and financial reports
• File and Notate Returned Certified Mail
• Other duties as assigned

Essential functions for Cashier

• High school diploma or equivalent
• In office/person punctual attendance is required
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively with coworkers, outside departments, and public
• Ability to meet deadlines as assigned
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time

Preferred qualifications for Office Clerk

• Previous cashiering, bank teller and/or Bookkeeping experience
• Some college having a background in the areas of math or accounting
• Proficient computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to speak Spanish
