Description

Cash Management Analyst – Boston, MA

We are seeking candidates for a Cash Management Analyst position with an elite private equity firm located in Boston, MA. The Cash Management Analyst will support the firm's Fund Administration team and serve as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external banking partners. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in treasury operations, banking operations, cash management, or a similar operational finance role. Candidates should have hands-on experience working with financial institutions, coordinating AML/KYC documentation, managing bank account administration, and supporting high-volume operational processes in a fast-paced financial services environment. Experience within private equity or investment management is a plus but not required.

This is a 6-month contract opportunity offering $30–40/hour, depending on experience, with a standard 40-hour workweek. The role follows a hybrid schedule at the firm's Boston office.
 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end bank account opening process for investment funds and legal entities.

  • Coordinate AML/KYC documentation and onboarding requirements with banking partners and internal stakeholders.

  • Facilitate document collection, signature routing, and communications with financial institutions throughout the account opening process.

  • Support borrower joinders for new credit facilities and verify account setup details upon account activation.

  • Maintain accurate bank account records across treasury management systems and banking platforms, including account openings, closures, and updates.

  • Review and manage user access across banking platforms while ensuring appropriate security controls.

  • Monitor low-balance accounts and coordinate funding requests with internal accounting teams.

  • Maintain investor and counterparty banking information within the Treasury Management System and perform regular data integrity reviews.

  • Coordinate wire instruction updates from initiation through final confirmation.

  • Assist with legal entity formation, entity maintenance, annual bank KYC reviews, and ongoing compliance activities.

  • Support treasury, banking, and operational initiatives while identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field required.

  • 3+ years of experience in treasury operations, banking operations, cash management, fund administration, or a related financial operations role.

  • Hands-on experience managing bank account openings and coordinating banking onboarding processes.

  • Experience working directly with banks, treasury teams, custodians, or other financial institutions.

  • Strong knowledge of AML/KYC requirements, banking documentation, and treasury operations.

  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across internal teams and external banking partners.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with treasury management systems or banking platforms is preferred.
