Description
Kforce's client in NYC seeks an experienced Cash Applications Specialist for a hybrid in-office role.
Summary:
We're looking for a professional to help drive accurate, timely, and efficient cash applications for a portfolio of attorneys. In this role, you'll partner closely with attorneys, legal staff, and accounting to ensure payments are applied correctly to proper invoices. You'll play a key role communicating with the Attorney's, and internal billing & collection teams in a fast-paced, high-volume international environment.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and reconcile daily ACH/Lockboxes to identify discrepancies and drive timely resolutions
- Manage multiple priorities across cash receipt cycles, attorney requests, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Generate and distribute cash receipt reports to attorneys and senior management teams.
- Respond to cash receipt and proper application inquiries from attorneys and staff in a timely, professional manner
- Partner with billing, collection, and teams to quickly resolve discrepancies
- Generate cash reports to support decision-making
- Ensure proper application of funds
- Provide ad hoc support to the accounting team as needed
Requirements:
- Cash Applications experience within the Legal, Public Accounting, or Professional Services sector
- Proven attention to detail with applying cash receipts to proper client invoices/events
- Ability to work a 3/2 hybrid schedule
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
