    CASE SPECIALIST (PART-TIME)

    MONTANA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS

    The Rehabilitation and Programs Division ensures the physical and mental well-being of inmates, delivers educational and vocational opportunities within prisons, and oversees community facilities dedicated to successfully reintegrating offenders into Montana communities.     The Case Specialist assesses and analyzes offenders to determine the need for program participation. They lead groups to deliver effective, evidence-based programs designed to make a real difference in people's lives.

    • Monitor progress, revise case plans, and help set realistic goals for each individual.

    • Keep records up to date and work closely with other staff to share important information about treatment and progress.

    • Support and motivate individuals to engage in programs that are designed to reduce recidivism and support rehabilitation.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    The knowledge, skills and abilities for this position are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to:

    • Associates degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Social Work, Criminal Psychology, Education, Social Science, Addiction Counseling or a related field.

    • 2 years of job-related experience.

    Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
