Case Manager - Vocation Coordinator/Job Developer 1 Remote Day

Mitchell Martin Healthcare is partnering with a well-established nonprofit organization to hire a Vocational Coordinator / Job Developer / Case Manager to support individuals in reaching their employment, education, and personal goals.

Are you passionate about helping people build careers, gain independence, and reach their goals? This position offers the opportunity to do more than traditional case management.
You'll work directly with clients to identify their interests and strengths, help them prepare for employment, connect them with training and educational opportunities, and develop relationships with employers to create new job opportunities.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys career coaching, networking, job development, mentoring, and working directly with people.
Schedule
Standard schedules include:
- 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Additional schedule requirements:
- One late day per week, typically extending the schedule by one hour
- Saturday coverage approximately once per month
- Saturday coverage comes with a weekday comp day during the same week
- After one month, eligible for one hybrid day per week, based on program needs
What You'll Do
Job Development & Career Support
- Meet one-on-one with clients to understand their career interests, skills, strengths, and goals.
- Help clients search and apply for jobs.
- Assist with resumes, applications, interview preparation, and workplace skills.
- Provide career coaching, mentoring, and ongoing employment support.
- Help clients identify education, training, certification, and career-development opportunities.
- Develop relationships with local employers and identify potential job opportunities for clients.
- Conduct employer outreach and follow up with employers regarding candidates.
- Learn about employer incentives and programs that can encourage hiring individuals who may face barriers to employment.
- Identify supported employment, stipend, and training opportunities.
- Help clients understand how employment income may impact benefits and entitlements.
Workshops & Groups
- Lead workshops and group sessions on topics such as:
- Resume writing
- Job searching
- Interview skills
- Professionalism and workplace behavior
- Communication
- Teamwork
- Conflict resolution
- Help clients build confidence and develop the skills needed to succeed in the workplace.
Case Management
- Maintain an assigned caseload of 10 and provide ongoing client support.
- Connect clients with healthcare, behavioral health, housing, education, and community resources.
- Develop and maintain individualized service plans.
- Coordinate with community providers and outside agencies.
- Maintain accurate client documentation and case notes.
- Provide crisis intervention and support when needed.
- Participate in resident groups, activities, outings, and events.
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Vocational Rehabilitation, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in human services, case management, job development, employment services, vocational rehabilitation, or a related field
Ideal candidates will have experience with:
- Job development or employment services
- Career counseling or coaching
- Workforce development
- Employer outreach
- Case management
- Supportive housing or residential services
- Behavioral health or social services
Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, substance use, HIV/AIDS, disabilities, or other barriers to employment is a plus.
