Position Title: Case Manager / Outreach Worker
Location: Washington, DC / Annual Salary $65,000
This position supports programming funded through the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), focused on prevention, intervention, and support services for justice-involved and at-risk youth. The Case Manager / Outreach Worker provides direct services, builds community connections, and supports youth in achieving positive outcomes. This position may require flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Principal Accountabilities
Conduct outreach to identify and engage at-risk and justice-involved youth
Develop and maintain relationships with youth, families, and community partners
Perform assessments and develop individualized service plans
Provide ongoing case management and monitor participant progress
Connect clients to education, housing, employment, and health services
Provide crisis intervention and emotional support
Advocate for youth within community systems
Facilitate workshops and prevention programming
Maintain accurate case notes and documentation
Assist with reporting and program evaluation
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice, psychology, or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience working with at-risk or justice-involved youth preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Strong case management, communication, and crisis intervention skills. Ability to build rapport with youth, maintain documentation, and work flexible hours.
