PURPOSE
The Case Manager is responsible for providing holistic case management services reporting through Care & Assistance in the Dean of Students Office and working closely within the Care & Assistance and University Housing Teams to address and coordinate the needs of students who experience health, psychological, economic, family relationship, housing, and/or social adjustment-related concerns. The Case Manager utilizes proactive outreach, referrals, follow‑up, and collaboration with campus and community partners to reduce barriers to student success. This position provides consultation to faculty, staff, academic departments, and parents, when appropriate, to minimize academic disruption and support student well-being.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.
Five (5) years of related professional experience in case management, student support services, social services, behavioral intervention, housing support, counseling, or a closely related area.
Additional education and/or experience may be considered as a substitution for the minimum requirements.
High School Diploma/GED and nine (9) years of related professional experience in case management, student support services, social services, behavioral intervention, housing support, counseling, or a closely related area.
Associates degree and seven (7) years of related professional experience in case management, student support services, social services, behavioral intervention, housing support, counseling, or a closely related area.
Master's degree and three (3) years of related professional experience in case management, student support services, social services, behavioral intervention, housing support, counseling, or a closely related area.
Doctoral degree and one (1) year of related professional experience in case management, student support services, social services, behavioral intervention, housing support, counseling, or a closely related area.
Experience in crisis management and student support.
Experience facilitating training and/or presentations for students, staff, or faculty.
Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; ability to use proprietary and web-based applications.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to manage complex and sensitive situations involving students.
Strong attention to detail.
Knowledge and experience working with mental and physical health providers, community agencies, and campus partners.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Ability to develop, maintain, and manage case files, referral resources, and community service databases.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
