CARS Residence Psych RN

The Registered Professional Nurse in CARS is responsible for the provision of direct patient care to a designated group of patients, in a fast paced multi-faceted department. These responsibilities will include the observation data collection, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's physical, psychological, emotional, educational and spiritual needs.Roles and Responsibilities:Helps to maintain 24-hour accountability for quality of care of clients.Completes physical & mental health assessments (VS, risk assessments, withdrawal assessment (COWS) as indicated by Part 820 regulationsAdministers and monitors treatment regimensAdministers prescribed medicationsObserves and reports behavioral changesMaintains control of drugs and medicationsTriage emergent client medical issues and coordinate care with the Nursing Staff, PA, NP, Medical Director and outside providers.Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate formsPerforms other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment settingDirect care provided by licensed practical nursesRespects cultural and religious practices of patientsHelps to maintain 24-hour accountability for quality of care of clients.Ensure OASAS/Medicaid regulatory compliance, Collaborates with Director of Nursing, Direct Care Staff, Counselors, Clinical Directors, other Department Managers and Compliance Manager in Quality Assessment, Assurance, and Performance Improvement Activities
