    Overview

    This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for both field execution and project planning. This individual will oversee carpentry crews while also managing key aspects of preconstruction and project coordination, ensuring alignment from initial project handoff through completion.

    Core Responsibilities

    Field Leadership & Execution

    • Manage multiple carpentry crews
    • Ensure teams meet:
      • Production targets
      • Quality standards
      • Customer satisfaction expectations
    • Maintain a strong presence in the field, actively supporting job sites
    • Coach, train, and develop craftsmen and crew leaders
    • Drive accountability to established company standards and processes
    • Troubleshoot and resolve field challenges in real time

    Project Management & Preconstruction

    • Partner with sales teams on project scoping and handoff
    • Support estimating accuracy and project planning
    • Collaborate with design and drafting teams as needed
    • Coordinate permitting and approvals
    • Work alongside engineering partners when required
    • Oversee project timelines, scheduling, and execution from start to finish

    Operations & Coordination

    • Conduct regular check-ins with crew leaders
    • Review short-term schedules and upcoming work
    • Participate in operational meetings and team huddles
    • Collaborate with internal teams on workforce planning
    • Ensure alignment between sales, planning, and field teams

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    Must-Haves

    • Strong carpentry background
    • Proven leadership experience managing crews
    • Field-first mindset with hands-on involvement
    • Ability to train, mentor, and develop teams

    Nice-to-Haves

    • Experience with plans, design, or drafting tools
    • Familiarity with permitting and engineering coordination
    • Comfortable with modern tools and technology platforms
