Reporting to the Deputy Director of Operations the Carpenter Supervisor oversees skilled work in the productioncraft installation and maintenancerepair of carpentry at facilities ownedmaintained by and throughout Allegheny County including office buildings Park Facilities the Medical Examiners the County Jail etc. This involves general carpentry cabinetmaking building maintenance flooring carpeting ceiling tiles concrete formwork furniture repair finish carpentry and management of the locksmith. This position is responsible for managing all Facilities Management Carpenters no matter where they are assigned or located. The Carpenter Shop is located in the Courthouse however Facilities Management Carpenters are dispatched throughout the County for Assignments of varying time lengths.Receiving work assignments from the Deputy Director of Operations and the work order management system this position is then responsible for assigning personnel to projects prioriti
About Company
The County owns and maintains 521 Bridges and 378 miles of Roads. It also provides maintenance of the grounds for nine (9) County parks consisting of over twelve (12) thousand acres of park land.
