    Minimum Qualifications

    Eighth grade. Three years of experience as a skilled carpenter are required. Must possess a Driver license.

    This is supervisory work over the construction, repair, and maintenance of buildings, structures, and facilities for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department. An employee in this class is responsible for coordinating and supervising trades personnel such as carpenters, masons, and maintenance mechanics. Work involves the assignment and review of these tradesmen, working on varied projects within a major departmental maintenance and construction programs.     Airport Security

    Applicants qualifying for employment with the Miami-Dade Aviation Department will be subject to extensive security screening, including but not limited to fingerprint checks, employment verification, and other such procedures as may be mandated by federal law. The security clearance required by federal law is a continuing condition of employment.
