CARPENTER

FLSA: NON-EXEMPT

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be an experienced carpenter capable of performing finish and cabinet-

maker work

• Should also be capable of hanging doors, work with locks and commercial doors

hardware

• Should be experienced with all types of power tools used in carpentry
• Must possess excellent health to permit strenuous work

REPORTS TO: Coordinator of Facilities

SUPERVISES: Helpers

JOB GOAL: To assist the Director of Buildings and Construction in providing facilities that

are properly maintained and conductive to a learning environment

TERM:Twelve (12) months

SALARY:Maintenance Department Salary Schedule MD-115

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform carpenter work as directed or required by work order

2. Be diligent in performing work in safe manner

3. Maintain a clean and orderly work environment

4. Maintain written records as required and directed

5. Be responsible and use good judgment in the purchase of job materials

6. Operate any vehicles in a safe manner and follow policies as directed

7. Perform work in a professional and timely manner

8. Follow Rapides Parish School Board policies

9. Perform any other duties assigned by the Director of Buildings and Construction

10. Sign in and out at each school and cooperate with all building personnel
