    Day Shift: Sunday - Thursday 6am - 2pm

    Starting Pay: $21.00 DOE

                    

    Overview

In this vital role, you will provide assistance with daily activities, monitor health and safety, and foster a warm, respectful environment for residents across various care settings. Your proactive approach and caring nature will help promote independence, dignity, and well-being for those you serve.

     

    Duties

    • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
    • Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe for changes in condition
    • Administer medication following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
    • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
    • Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s by implementing specialized memory care techniques and ensuring a safe environment
    • Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning routines to promote hygiene and comfort
    • Use equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges
    • Document care activities accurately in accordance with facility protocols and care plans
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care
    • Engage in patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior that require escalation or intervention

     

    Experience

    • Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care environments is highly desirable
    • Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and administering medications safely is essential
    • Experience providing dementia or Alzheimer’s care, hospice support, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred
    • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality in healthcare settings is required
    • Hands-on experience using mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts demonstrates your ability to handle heavy lifting safely
    • Background in caring for seniors or individuals with disabilities through long-term care or home health services enhances your suitability for this role
    • Certification in CPR and First Aid is a strong asset that underscores your readiness to respond to emergencies effectively
