Caregiver Responsibilities: - Assisting patients with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and other activities of daily living.
- Helping with general light housekeeping.
- Making arrangements for or providing transportation as needed.
- Observing and reporting on a patient’s condition.
- Keeping up with in-service training.
- Enters patients records daily in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy and procedures; incidents and observations, reports any changes in patients’ physical condition and/or behavior; observes and documents the health and emotional condition of each patient; promptly reports any changes to the supervisor
Caregiver Qualifications/Skills: - Reliable transportation with car insurance
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- In-home caregiving experience supporting elderly clients with ADLs
- Experience creating a safe, effective environment
- Listening, analyzing information, and focusing on quality
- Dependability and punctuality
- Physical ability to reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and lift up to 50 lbs. while avoiding potential injury from transferring, repositioning, or lifting residents
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: - High School Diploma or GED
- Any state-mandated certification
- Must have a valid in-state driver’s license, provide current registration and insurance, and have a driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years
