Caregiver (CNA, HHA or PCA) Temporary

Elim Shores, a Cassia community, is hiring a TemporaryCaregiver (CNA, HHA, or PCA) to join our team through December. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience, earn extra income, or make a positive impact in the lives of older adults while working in a supportive and welcoming environment.As a Caregiver at Elim Shores, you will assist residents with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, shampooing, and medication administration, while promoting dignity, independence, and well-being.  The ideal candidate is caring, dependable, and team-oriented, with a genuine desire to support older adults. Caregiving experience is a plus, but we provide training for those eager to learn.Position Type: Temporary thru December (could potentially turn into FT)Shift:Days: 6:00 am - 2:00 pmWage Range: $17.85 - $20.82 /hour depending on experienceLocation: 7900 Timber Lake Dr, Eden Prairie, MN 55347Caregiver Responsibilities: 

• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence while assisting them with personal care and daily living activities.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per individualized care plan.
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration as instructed. Report changes or concerns to the RN.
• Document services performed on computerized charting system.
• Assist residents with prescribed program activities.
• Observe resident and report any changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, reaction, and appetite, to the supervisor.
• Assist the resident with personal care which may include the following: shampooing of hair, assist with showering/ bathing, fingernail and foot care, and medication administration.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

• Must be at least 18 years old. 
• Current MN Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Previous experience in a similar setting a plus.
• A genuine desire to work with our elderly population.
