This is an exciting time to work for Amarillo College! We are seeking our next Career Pathways Education Coordinator who will be all-in on our mission and who supports the coordination and implementation of Career and Technical Education (CTE) dual credit pathways and career exploration initiatives that expand access to technical education opportunities across the Texas Panhandle. This position collaborates with K-12 school districts, Amarillo College faculty, and community partners to support workforce pathways and student success.
The Career Pathway Education Coordinator assists with technical dual credit programming for high school students, including program promotion, student advising, enrollment support, curriculum alignment, and partnership development. This position also supports K-8 career awareness programming and serves as a liaison between Amarillo College and regional school districts to support program implementation, professional development, grant activities, and program compliance.
This is a grant-funded position. Continued employment is contingent upon grant funding.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, workforce development, Career and Technical Education (CTE), or a related field.
Preferred: Masters Degree.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Two (2) years of experience in an educational setting, preferably in higher education, secondary education, Career and Technical Education (CTE), student services, workforce development, or program coordination.
Preferred: Experience with dual credit programs, student advising, grant-funded initiatives, educational outreach, or academic program coordination.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
Required: Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with a three (3) year safe driving record.

Salary: Amarillo College follows a lag pay strategy, with starting offers typically between the minimum and midpoint of the pay grade, rarely reaching the maximum to support long-term growth within each position.
Pay grade 12 Amarillo College Pay Grades(salary is determined by Human Resources based on education, work experience and internal comparisons).
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to travel between offices, campuses, and regional school districts and may occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, and/or maneuver equipment or supplies up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
Working Conditions: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, primarily daytime hours with occasional evenings and weekends to support outreach events, student activities, summer programming, and program operations.
Work Environment: This position operates in a professional educational environment including office, classroom, community, and K-12 settings and routinely utilizes standard office and educational technology. Duties regularly involve interaction with students, faculty, administrators, school district personnel, employers, and community stakeholders and may require travel throughout the service area.
