GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Career Navigator systematically works to facilitate career awareness activities PK-20 and
works to promote professional skills with students, focusing primarily on students with
disabilities. The Career Navigator assists the following:
Career development, awareness, and planning activities across local districts.
Refers students for placement opportunities with employers.
Supports EDP completion through Xello, in coordination with LEA school counselors.
Attend 10th grade IEPs for students with disabilities, provide consultation and
professional development for CTE instructors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

TYPICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The majority of work assignments are performed in a school office, CTE and/or regular
classroom, and/or at external students' worksites.
REQUIREMENTS:
o Working knowledge of curriculum development, behavioral development, and
education systems.
o Must possess a valid Michigan driver's license.
o Must be computer literate.
o The ability to organize short and long-term duties and responsibilities is important. This
position deals with a wide variety of tasks and requires good prioritization and
organization.
