Hourly Career Major Tutor HVAC

Location: Burlington County Institute of Technology Medford Campus

Position Summary

• BCIT is seeking a dedicated Hourly Career Major Tutor in the area of Construction Trades. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (required), with some college coursework preferred, and relevant vocational certification or work experience in the HVAC and construction trades. This individual must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and a passion for supporting student success in hands-on, career-focused education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (required)
• Some college credits (preferred)
• Vocational certificate and/or relevant training or work experience in Construction Trades
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to support students individually and in small groups

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with assigned instructors to support student learning
• Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring to reinforce course content and practical skills
• Help students strengthen their understanding of the HVAC & construction-related careers

Salary

• Hourly Rate Equivalent Annual Range: $29,766 $36,851 (Commensurate with hours worked, education, and experience)

Additional Information

• Required criminal history background check
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status required
• Must establish NJ residency within one year of hire
