Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Care Supervisor to join our team! As a Care Supervisor, you will oversee a team of personal care attendants (PCAs) and assist with their client caseload and service/treatment plans, as well as oversee your own clients. In addition, you will be responsible for meeting with staff, addressing concerns, and helping conduct training and development of existing and new staff members. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of patient care, managing caseloads, and strong interpersonal skills to manage a team.

Responsibilities 
  • On-Call for staffing concerns or issues
  • Conduct regular meetings with staff and advisory boards
  • Orients staff to policies and procedures of our Agency.
  • Orientation, Training & Supervision of staff to ensure quality performance standards.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to staff in regards to scheduling and treatment plans
  • Takes referrals and assigns clients to field staff.
  • Follows up on referrals by contacting clients, family members, etc.
  • Handles client service supervision per agency policy. 
  • Documents telephone/in-office conferences with clients/family, staff, and others.
  • Manages the client services coordination.
  • Manages the HR needs of the client services department, notifying the  Administrator when new hires are needed to stay proactive with growth plan.
  • Assists with interviews and hires select service personnel.
  • Establishes mutual goal setting and achievement standards.
  • Projects a concerned, professional appearance toward Agency staff.
  • Maintains high visibility andavailability via telephone while in the office.
  • Works to develop a positive rapport/relationship with all staff.
  • Performs tasks as delegated by Administrator.
  • Carries beeper when away from office and responds within the hour.
  • Shares on-call responsibility on an equitable basis.
  • Actively develops and pursues referral sources, as well as facilitates on-going relationships with various community organizations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Care Supervisor is desired
  • The required licensing/certification to perform this role (LPN, CNA, LSW, preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Deep understanding of health care policies and regulations
  • Demonstratable ability to manage others, including handling scheduling and problem-solving
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Be responsible and mature and have the personal qualities which will enable them to understand the problems of elderly persons and persons with disabilities.
  • Understand the provisions of NV Personal Care Services statutes.
  • Demonstrate the abilities to read, write, speak & understand the English language.
  • Criminal & other required checks
  • First Aid & CPR training within 6 months of hire
