Part-time Care Support Specialist ($16/hour)Springfield, MO Penmac Staffing is seeking a compassionate and dependable part-time Care Support Specialist to support daily operations at a residential care home in Springfield, MO. This role helps create a safe, structured, and supportive environment for residents by assisting with daily routines, household operations, and basic care.
This position will work up to 19 hours per week. The hours would be 4 to 8 hours shifts depending on the operational needs. Evening Shift is 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm. Overnight Shift is 11:00 pm - 7:00 am.Care Support Specialist Responsibilities
- Answer phones, take and deliver messages, and complete telephone intake assessments
- Assist with medication documentation as directed
- Conduct safety checks throughout the building, including safe sleep environments
- Ensure residents complete chores, pass room checks, and follow program agreements
- Assist residents with daily routines and ensure program expectations are followed
- Maintain household cleanliness and organization; monitor supplies and process donations
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements for the Care Support Specialist
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance
- Excellent speaking, listening, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Basic clerical skills and computer knowledge
- Understanding of trauma-informed care, boundaries, de-escalation, conflict resolution, and cultural competence, or willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working or volunteering in human services or a support services role
Pay and Physical Requirements
- Pay: $16.00 per hour
- Medium work, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
