Pay range: $58.01 - $82.95
Performs diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. Produce high quality exams and procedures and is knowledgeable and proficient with hemodynamic and imaging equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of sterile technique and disposable supplies used during interventional cardiovascular procedures. Cross trains with the ability and the knowledge to assist the cardiologists, interventional radiologists, and vascular surgeons in the performance of all non-invasive and invasive cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures in the hospital. Accurately assess patient hemodynamic status and respond appropriately to change in patient status to ensure positive outcome.
Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.
Minimum Education: As required by certification and/or licensure
Preferred Education: Bachelors Degree in health care or related field
Minimum Experience: 0 - 1 year as Cath/EP Tech. Documented competency in interpretation of EKG and hemodynamic
Preferred Experience: 2 - 3 years as Cath/EP Tech
