What You'll Do:
• Deliver engaging, organized instruction for assigned courses and clinical experiences for the full scheduled class or session.
• Develop and distribute course syllabi aligned with approved master syllabi and the College’s course management system.
• Teach and evaluate students in accordance with program standards, College policies, accrediting requirements, and applicable legal requirements.
• Maintain accurate attendance, progress, assessment, and grade records; submit all required documentation by established deadlines.
• Provide timely feedback and respond to student questions within division guidelines.
• Monitor student progress, support retention and success, and refer students who may need academic advising or counseling.
• Coordinate with designated clinical and laboratory liaisons to provide appropriate instruction, supervision, and timely assessment of student performance.
• Maintain familiarity with program goals and demonstrate the ability to develop an organized plan of instruction and evaluation.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with students, colleagues, supervisors, and clinical partners.
• Participate in required trainings, professional development, convocation, College conferences, and other assigned activities.
• Promote a professional, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for students, guests, and colleagues.
• Represent the College positively and adhere to all College, LCTC, departmental, and accrediting policies.
Required Qualifications:
• Professional certification in one or more relevant areas, such as:
o Noninvasive vascular studies.
o Adult cardiac sonography.
• Education and professional experience in the assigned cardiovascular sonography content area.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cardiovascular sonography and the ability to apply current professional practices.
• Effective teaching, communication, organization, and student-mentoring skills.
• Ability to meet all academic, occupational, credentialing, and accrediting requirements established by the LCTC Board and applicable agencies.
