Our Step-down unit provides healing to general intermediate care patients needing a higher level of skilled nursing care than on a Medical Surgical floor, but do not need an intensive level of care in the ICU. Our patient population includes post-sheath removal, stroke, spine, peritoneal dialysis, cardiac drips, and much more receiving care from our highly skilled RNs. Under the supervision of the nurse manager or designee, the registered nurse provides holistic, individualized patient care in response to identified needs of the complex monitored patient. Additional functions will be performed in accordance with the AACN Standards and the Nurse Practice Act in a manner consistent with the mission of the goals of the organization. Job Responsibilities
The cardiac team at Plaza Medical Center is committed to providing advanced, comprehensive heart and vascular care to our patients, their families, and the community. Plaza Medical Center has been recognized as a leading center for cardiac care in the Dallas - Fort Worth area and provides some of the fastest heart attack treatment times in Tarrant County. The team at Plaza Medical Center can remove a heart patients blockage in about half the time of the average U.S. hospital 45 minutes from the time a heart patient arrives at our door to the time he or she is diagnosed, treated with angioplasty or another cardiac procedure, and stabilized.
Education
Experience
Must have at least one (1) year Stepdown, Progressive Care, PCU or Intermediate Care RN experience in an acute care hospital - 2 Years is preferred
Must have basic Drip and basic EKG Knowledge
