The Cardiovascular Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship at UTHealth Heart & Vascular is a 12‑month, full‑time postgraduate training program designed to prepare new graduate Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for advanced clinical practice in cardiovascular medicine.This intensive fellowship accelerates the transition from graduate training to high-level, independent practice within a high‑ acuity, specialized cardiovascular environment. Fellows receive structured, competency‑ based training aligned with American College of Cardiology (ACC) cardiovascular team competencies, while gaining comprehensive ‑hands-on‑ experience across the full continuum of cardiovascular care.The Cardiovascular Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship is a regular, classified full‑time appointment for a 12‑month term, inclusive of an initial six‑month probationary period. Participants must successfully complete all program requirements and obtain and maintain all required certifications, licensure, and credentials within established timeframes.The fellowship is a term‑limited training appointment only and does not confer any right or expectation of employment beyond the fellowship period.Application TimelineApplications will be accepted from April 6 through May 31, 2026, launching the first step in the fellowship selection process.
