    Join our team as a Cardiac Technician I, where you will play an essential role in supporting high-quality cardiovascular care. In this entry-level position, you will assist with the preparation, monitoring, and documentation of cardiac diagnostic procedures, including EKGs, stress testing, and telemetry monitoring.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform and accurately record electrocardiograms (EKGs and other non-invasive cardiac tests

    • Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and clear instructions

    • Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly report abnormalities to clinical staff

    • Maintain and troubleshoot cardiac equipment to ensure proper function

    • Document patient data and test results in the electronic medical record (EMR

    • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals to support patient care

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare or cardiac-related training preferred

    • Basic knowledge of cardiac anatomy and rhythm interpretation (or willingness to learn

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

    • Excellent communication and patient care skills

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment

    Purpose:

    Implement and prepare for interpretation of cardiac testing that includes EKGs, Holter Monitoring Hook-ups and Stress Testing.

    Responsibilities:

    • Edit EKGs, after physician review, by deleting, inserting or making additions of established phrases in the ECG Computerized System (MUSE.
    • Utilize all computer systems (MUSE, TDS, etc for testing data, result reporting and mailing, billing, etc.
    • Perform cardiac testing that include EKGs, rhythm strips, Signal Average ECGs, Stress testing, Holter Monitoring hook-ups, according to protocol and in a timely fashion.
    • Maintain equipment by cleaning and stocking on a daily basis as well as alerting appropriate personnel of needed repairs and supplies needed. Also maintain the department area to meet Safety & Security regulations (JCAHO & OSHA.

    High school diploma or equivalent required. 6 months experience in a medical related field is preferred. Ability to work flexible hours to meet the department's needs that include evenings, weekends, holidays and weekend/holiday On-Call required. Basic typing and computer skills are also required. Transcription skills are preferred.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

    Completion of a Medical Assistant or Cardiac Technician course preferred.
