Job Summary and Qualifications The Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse. Nursing functions involve nursing assessments, exercise evaluations, insurance benefit verifications and multiple other nursing duties. This position utilizes excellent therapeutic communications skills in daily practice. Maintains a safe and therapeutic healing environment for patients.Promotes a supportive, teamwork-oriented environment. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of Horizon. Identities nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. Plans individualized and holistic patient care. Participates in performance improvement activities to assure continuous quality improvement.
