job description page. About the Role:The Coast Heart Institute in Gulfport, Mississippi, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cardiac Nurse to join our specialized cardiovascular care team. Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on cardiac diagnoses, medications, lifestyle modifications, and post-discharge care
- Complete preauthorization for tests and procedures.
- Occasionally administer medications, IV therapies, and cardiac-specific treatments per physician orders in clinic setting
Requirements:- Active RN license in the state of Mississippi
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- 1+ years of cardiac, telemetry, ICU, or step-down unit nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in ECG interpretation
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient advocacy skills
- Cardiac Care Nursing Certification (CCRN or RN-BC) a plus
- Qualifications required by Memorial Hospital at Gulfport
