Cardiac Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) – Orange Park, FL

 

A healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and skilled Cardiac Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join its patient care team. This position offers an opportunity to care for patients with cardiac and medical-surgical conditions while working in a collaborative environment focused on quality outcomes and exceptional patient experiences.

 

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patient conditions and identify changes that require clinical intervention

  • Deliver nursing care based on individualized treatment plans and physician orders

  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies while monitoring patient responses

  • Monitor cardiac and medical-surgical patients and communicate significant findings to the healthcare team

  • Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals

  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

  • Educate patients and family members regarding diagnoses, medications, recovery expectations, and preventive health practices

  • Promote patient safety and adherence to established clinical protocols

  • Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care initiatives

 

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Previous experience in medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac, or acute care nursing preferred

  • Strong critical-thinking, organizational, and communication skills

  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-focused care
