MUSC Health Heart & Vascular Columbia is seeking a highly motivated BC/BE Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join our dynamic team of cardiovascular specialists.  This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, academic-affiliated environment alongside three electrophysiologists with access to cutting-edge technology, robust staffing support, and a diverse and complex patient population.

About MUSC Health Heart and Vascular:

MUSC Health Heart and Vascular Columbia is part of MUSC Health’s greater Heart and Vascular Center, which provides compassionate care and advanced treatment to patients across South Carolina.  MUSC Health Heart and Vascular Center is the only program in South Carolina to offer heart transplantation, robotic valve surgery and complex aorta surgeries.  And we have the state’s only cardiovascular genetics program, offering personalized care for people and families with inherited heart and vascular conditions. Join a collegial team of 28 cardiologists, 3 cardiothoracic surgeons, 1 vascular surgeon, and 31 cardiology APPS to provide advanced treatment and personalized care to patients in the Columbia area and surrounding communities.

MUSC Health Heart and Vascular has been consistently recognized by U.S. News & World Report in heart failure, aortic valve surgery, and heart bypass surgery.  And specific locations, like the Columbia Downtown Medical Center, have been named a Top National Cardiovascular Hospital by Fortune and Premier’s PINC AI.

Required Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.

  • Completion of An ACGME Accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program.

  • Completion of an ACGME Accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program and Electrophysiology Fellowship Program. 

  • Hold an unrestricted South Carolina Medical License.

Position Highlights:

  • Diagnose and treat cardiac arrhythmias using advanced electrophysiological techniques.

  • Perform procedures such as catheter ablation, pacemaker and ICD implantation, and device management. 

  • Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations and follow-up care.

  • MUSC Health Columbia practice is ranked this year by U.S. News & World Report as High Performing in five procedures and conditions related to heart and vascular care, including Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Heart Arrhythmia, Heart Bypass Surgery, Pacemaker Implantation, and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
