Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technician - Contract

Preferred: ARRT preferred; RCIS accepted if the candidate does not have both ARRT and RCIS. Required Clinical Skills: Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization.

Title: Cath Lab Tech
Duration: 13 weeks
Location: 1555 Long Pond Rd Rochester, NY 14626
Schedule: Day Shift 4*10s 40hours/week

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM.

• Shifts: 4x10-hour shifts.

• On-Call: Required.

• Experience: Minimum 1 year.

• First-Time Travelers: Accepted.

• Local Candidates: Not accepted; must be more than 50 miles away.

• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT (R).

• Preferred: ARRT preferred; RCIS accepted if the candidate does not have both ARRT and RCIS.

• RCIS Restriction: Only one RCIS candidate can be accommodated at a time due to on-call requirements.

Required Clinical Skills:

• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization.

• Adult diagnostic catheterizations.

• Cardiac implant closure devices and stent placement.

• IABP placement/removal.

• Left and right heart catheterization.

• PCI and PTCA.

• Rotablator atherectomy.

• Dysrhythmia interpretation and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias.

• Scrub procedures and maintaining a sterile field.

• Room circulation and equipment setup.

• Sterile technique.

• Must be comfortable with on-call responsibilities.
