At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our Cardiac Catheterization Lab is dedicated to delivering exceptional cardiovascular care through advanced technology, clinical expertise, and compassionate service. We are seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist to support a wide range of diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and imaging quality.
What Youll Do
- Perform radiologic imaging for cardiac catheterization and peripheral vascular procedures.
- Assist with hemodynamic monitoring, sterile scrubbing, and first-assist responsibilities during procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures by verifying physician orders, obtaining medical histories, and ensuring proper consents are completed.
- Operate fluoroscopic imaging equipment while adhering to radiation safety standards and established protocols.
- Assist physicians during procedures using catheters, guidewires, balloons, stents, thrombectomy devices, and other specialized equipment.
- Monitor patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout all procedures.
- Process and submit diagnostic images accurately and promptly for physician interpretation.
- Assist with patient transport as needed.
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and procedure rooms to ensure operational readiness.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, infection prevention practices, and departmental education.
- Cross-train staff, support new employee orientation, and participate in an on-call rotation.
What Youll Bring
- Minimum two years of Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
- Experience or familiarity with cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Knowledge of cardiac and peripheral vascular anatomy and physiology.
- Understanding of radiation safety, sterile technique, and infection prevention practices.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced procedural environment and participate in an on-call schedule.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
- Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license required. ARRT certification preferred.
- California Fluoroscopy License.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- LA City Fire Card required at hire or within 30 days of employment.
