Card Conversion Project Manager

This is a highly visible, client-facing role responsible for driving end-to-end conversion execution, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful mock conversions, production cutovers, and post-conversion activities. The ideal candidate has direct experience leading debit, prepaid, or payment card portfolio conversions and can confidently manage clients through complex, high-risk implementations.

Seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale payment card conversion projects supporting debit card programs. This is a highly visible, client-facing role responsible for driving end-to-end conversion execution, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful mock conversions, production cutovers, and post-conversion activities. The ideal candidate has direct experience leading debit, prepaid, or payment card portfolio conversions and can confidently manage clients through complex, high-risk implementations.

• Lead end-to-end payment card conversion projects from planning through production cutover and stabilization.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and action items.
• Coordinate mock conversions, testing, data validation, reconciliation, and production readiness activities.
• Serve as the primary client-facing project lead, providing status updates, managing expectations, and instilling confidence throughout the conversion lifecycle.
• Partner with program leadership, product, engineering, business teams, and third-party vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
• Track project progress using Jira and Agile project management practices.

Required:

• 5+ years of Project Management experience within payments, banking, fintech, or financial services.
• Hands-on experience leading payment card conversion projects (debit, prepaid, reloadable debit, or credit card portfolio conversions).
• Experience managing large, cross-functional implementation or migration projects.
• Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience developing and executing detailed project plans, managing risks, and coordinating testing and production cutovers.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Jira
