Be Part Of A High-Performing Team:

Join a capital markets technology organization supporting strategic initiatives across institutional banking, trading, payments, securities, and financial-market infrastructure. This team partners closely with business portfolio leaders, technology executives, product owners, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams to ensure complex initiatives remain financially sound, properly governed, and aligned with business priorities. The environment values ownership, concise communication, disciplined execution, and the ability to translate technology activity into clear business and executive outcomes.

What’s In Store For You:

Engagement: W2 only (no C2C/1099)

This is a 12-month contract opportunity with the intent to convert to a permanent position. The role follows a hybrid schedule in Charlotte, North Carolina, with required onsite work every Monday and Thursday and remote work the remaining three days.

The organization expects to make at least one to two immediate hires, with the potential for additional openings as the team expands and realigns its project portfolio.

How You Will Make An Impact:

  • Own the business-facing, financial, resource, governance, and executive-reporting components of capital markets technology initiatives.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requests, challenge assumptions, and translate needs into concise business cases.
  • Develop and maintain project cost plans, funding requirements, resource plans, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate approvals and maintain accurate project records within the organization’s portfolio-management platform.
  • Work across business portfolio managers, technology leaders, product owners, Scrum Masters, developers, and executives.
  • Translate Agile delivery progress into traditional milestone-, budget-, phase-, and risk-based reporting.
  • Prepare clear meeting minutes, status updates, executive presentations, decision materials, and governance documentation.
  • Maintain strict weekly and biweekly reporting schedules without requiring repeated follow-up.
  • Oversee initiatives involving capital markets, fixed income, currencies, derivatives, securities, payments, regulatory change, or trade-processing technology.
  • Support several Agile teams or Scrum Masters operating under a broader program or strategic initiative.

Do You Have the Expertise to Lead Capital Markets Technology Programs?

  • 10 or more years of project or program management experience, preferably within capital markets, investment banking, institutional banking, or financial-services technology.
  • Strong understanding of financial-services business processes and the ability to understand the purpose behind technology initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ownership of project financials, cost plans, resource plans, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and executive reporting.
  • Experience developing business cases and coordinating funding, governance, or project-approval processes.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow SPM, Clarity, Planview, or a comparable project portfolio management platform.
  • Working knowledge of Agile software delivery and experience partnering with Scrum Masters, product owners, and development teams.
  • Ability to present Agile delivery progress through traditional executive reporting structures.
  • Excellent written communication, including concise meeting minutes, status reports, presentations, and business cases.
  • Strong relationship-management, time-management, organizational, and deadline-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business, technology, delivery, and executive audiences.
  • Experience with fixed income, currencies, derivatives, securities, payments, trade processing, SWIFT, or market-infrastructure programs is preferred.
  • Jira, Power BI, PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or comparable experience or certification is preferred.
