Job Title: Business Analyst (Level III)
Location: Chicago, IL 60661
Work Schedule: Hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite per week) | Standard business hours
Pay Rate: $48.44/hour (paid weekly)
Start Date: ASAP, upon completion of onboarding
Contract Duration: 5 months, with potential for extension and/or conversion to a full-time employee

Overview
We are seeking a Financial Markets Operations Manager to lead margin and collateral operations, manage key stakeholder relationships, and oversee risk, controls, and regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient margin processing, supporting strategic initiatives, driving operational excellence, and leading a high-performing team within a dynamic financial markets environment.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for margin operations and key stakeholder contact.
  • Oversee collateral management activities, including substitutions, bookings, and releases.
  • Ensure timely processing of client margin calls and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Manage client trade, settlement, and collateral-related inquiries.
  • Lead new product onboarding and strategic projects.
  • Monitor compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and business controls.
  • Manage operational risk, audits, and issue escalation.
  • Coordinate with Front Office, Middle Office, Risk, Credit, Legal, and Operations teams.
  • Support FX transaction processing for clients.
  • Drive process improvements, industry initiatives, and operational efficiencies.
  • Lead team development, performance management, and staff engagement.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience within the Financial Services or Banking industry, with at least 2 years of team leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Background in margin operations, collateral management, treasury, risk management, or related functions.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, particularly Exchange-Traded Derivatives (ETD), Futures & Options (F&O), margin management, and OTC derivatives lifecycles.
  • Knowledge of operational controls, risk management practices, regulatory requirements, and business control frameworks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently engage senior stakeholders across Trading, Sales, Credit, Legal, Risk, and Operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands and meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Experience in Finance, Treasury, or Risk Management functions is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive process improvements, and support strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborative, client-focused, and adaptable, with a commitment to innovation, continuous learning, diversity, and positive change.
