    Job Summary

    Support the St. Louis capital portfolio by reviewing project costs, identifying purchased assets, and reconciling project expenses to fixed assets. This role helps ensure capital projects are properly documented, closed out, and ready for asset capitalization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Review capital project transactions, purchase orders, invoices, and commitments in D365.
    • Work with Project Managers, Engineering, Facilities, Finance, and vendors to identify assets purchased and installed.
    • Match project costs to individual assets or asset groups.
    • Support project closeout and fixed asset capitalization activities.
    • Maintain trackers for identified assets, supporting documents, open items, and capitalization status.
    • Work with Fixed Asset Accounting to ensure assets are properly entered into the system.
    • Research invoices, purchase orders, project records, and other documents to resolve questions.
    • Follow up with internal teams and vendors to obtain missing information.
    • Track open issues and help drive them to completion.
    • Prepare basic reports on capitalization progress, outstanding issues, and potential tax benefits.

    Required Qualifications

    • Experience with capital projects, fixed assets, accounting, procurement, or project controls.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to review and understand purchase orders, invoices, contracts, and vendor documents.
    • Advanced Excel skills.
    • Strong organization and attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and open issues at the same time.
    • Comfortable communicating with different departments and following up to obtain information.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with D365 Finance & Operations, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
    • Knowledge of fixed asset accounting and capitalization.
    • Experience in engineering, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated environments.
    • Experience with reconciliations, audits, or transaction reviews.
    • Understanding of project closeout and project documentation.
