Canvasser

Bayou City Staffing, LLC is now hiring Canvassers to be part of a team serving public-facing clients and communities across the Country Region. Our growing team of Field Canvassers will be dispatched across the region to interact with members of the public to collect information and convey messaging related to important issues affecting our communities. Canvassers may work full- or part-time, and hours may vary based on projects and client programs. Canvassers will spend a significant amount of time working in the field and should be comfortable with self-directed work and able to walk for several hours (PREVIOUS CANVASING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED).
Requirements:
Applicants must be fluent in English and Spanish with the ability to communicate with diverse populations.
Applicants should be friendly and outgoing with a positive attitude.
Must be self-motivated, comfortable talking to new people, able to work alone or within a team, and be a fast learner.
Applicants must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a smartphone.
Applicants must also be authorized to work in the United States.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Have a comfort level conveying messaging door-to-door.
· Excellent note-taking and basic computer skills for reporting on activities and events.
· Interacting with members of the public in a friendly and professional manner
