    Position Title Campus Visits and Events Coordinator Job Description

    The Campus Visits and Events Coordinator is responsible for creating and overseeing a welcoming, engaging, and impactful campus visit experience for prospective students, families, counselors, and community partners. This position provides leadership for campus visit programming and events, including individual and group visits, campus visit days, tours, and related experiences. The Coordinator works collaboratively with campus partners and student ambassadors to ensure visitors receive a consistent and positive experience that reflects the Missouri Western community and supports the university's enrollment and student recruitment goals.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Serves as the primary point of contact and provides leadership for campus visits and experiences throughout the year, ensuring programs are welcoming, engaging, and aligned with university enrollment goals.
    • Plans, coordinates, and oversees the logistics and execution of undergraduate enrollment events, working collaboratively with campus partners to ensure facilities, audiovisual needs, catering, scheduling, CRM updates, and other event requirements are effectively managed.
    • Assists the Director and campus partners to develop and deliver Griffon Orientation (GO) programs that provide engaging and meaningful on-campus experiences for prospective students and their families.
    • Builds and maintains strong partnerships with faculty and staff to coordinate individualized

    experiences for prospective students, ensuring campus connections are purposeful, well-organized, and reflective of the university's commitment to student success.

    • Leads the planning and execution of group tours, Saturday tours, Athletic tours, Griffon Experience events, and other campus visit programs, ensuring each experience is organized, informative, and welcoming for prospective students and families.
    • Recruits, trains, supervises, and develops student ambassadors to serve as knowledgeable and welcoming representatives of Missouri Western. Provides leadership and guidance to ensure ambassadors are prepared to support campus visits, the department front desk, and university main phone coverage.
    • Oversees the visitor experience from initial contact through follow-up, maintaining accurate campus visit data and developing meaningful follow-up strategies that strengthen engagement and support prospective students throughout the enrollment process.
    • Continuously evaluates campus visit and event experiences, identifies opportunities for improvement, and collaborates with campus partners to enhance programs and strengthen their contribution to student recruitment and enrollment.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree

    Preferred Qualifications

    • One year of experience in event management
    • Experience in higher education, specifically admissions or student affairs

    Physical Demands

    • Light Work
    • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work
