DESCRIPTION: Ensure the campus and building is safe and orderly by patrolling the building and grounds, monitoring student behavior, diffusing hostile situations, assisting administration and staff, enforcing school rules, and providing for the overall security of students.

SALARY: Classified Grade N, $23.20 per hour to start, depending on recent relevant experience. 4 day work week, Tuesday - Friday. 10 hours per day (40 hrs a week) on the 9-month work schedule. Position is paid over 12-months and is eligible for benefits.

The Bob Sakata Campus is a unique building that hosts multiple school programs, including Pre-School, the Transitional Learning Center, Child Find, Technology, and 27J Online Academy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor entrance door security system, screen and greet all visitors to the Sakata campus.
• Supervision during pre-school drop-off and pick-up times, and recess.
• Monitor campus to provide security and regulate unauthorized persons from being on campus.
• Monitor and utilize building security camera system.
• Supervise occasional evening events, such as school events and graduation. Assist with event set up if needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to pass a Colorado and Federal Bureau of Investigation background check.
• Experience in law enforcement or security, helpful, but not required.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
